Backup Dwarf is a backup software that automatically runs a scheduled backup you set for vital files in an easy to use way and save in zip format. Backups are executed based on the scheduler daily, weekly or monthly and named based on the name and date of the job. Each backup can be created as a full backup or incremental backup with the feature to storing them on a local drive, network drive, a removable USB drive and a remote FTP server.
The Backup Dwarf’s wizard offers a simple guide through the process of creating and editing a backup. The Home Edition is free for non-commercial use and has a slightly akware standard interface that limits you to ten (10) scheduled backup sets but unlimited files and folders.
Your basic backup needs are met but many convenient features in competing software is missing. There are options to install promotional or third party software which can be tricky especially when other software can be unexpectedly installed.
We also found the GUI to be a little awkward to use.
