Mega Desktop is a cloud drive desktop application that synchronized chosen folders on your computer and saves them to your Mega Desktop storage space. Storage space starts at 10GB and can be increased after paying a cost to upgrade to various packages. Packages starts at US$52.99 per year for 400GB at a 12TB transfer speed for a 1 user Pro Lite package.
Sync your entire MEGA Cloud or selected folders with your computer so your MEGA stays up to date with the changes you make to your files and folders on your computer and vice versa. This way, you always have access to the most recent version of your data. You can use the app to add new syncs or change the states of the existing syncs pause, suspend, disable, or run.
Back up to avoid losing irreplaceable data – Back up your computer with MEGA to automatically copy files and folders to MEGA in real time and eliminate the risk of accidental data loss. You can use the desktop app for setting up new backups or temporarily disabling backups.
Manage your uploads and downloads – If you want full control over your transfers, download the desktop app to get access to the transfer manager. It’s faster to add transfers to the queue and easier to add, sort, search for, prioritise, pause, and cancel transfers.
Browser Integration – If you’ve installed the desktop app, all transfers through a browser will automatically be handled by the app, eliminating browser limitations and significantly enhancing reliability, performance, and speed.
Easier ways to view, manage, and track transfers
Better overview: The new design allows you to see the status (and other important details) of all the individual files and folders you’re transferring – not just the ones that are currently being processed. This means that in each category, you can quickly see if items are uploading, in the queue, or completed.
Transfer times: You will now get better visibility of when each individual transfer will be completed.
Sorting transfers: You can now sort your transfers by name, size, speed, status and time left, helping you to have better visibility and control over the priority of your transfers.
Pausing, cancelling and resuming transfers: Another great new feature is the ability to pause, cancel or resume any of the transfers, either individually, by category, or all transfers at once. Previously you could only pause or cancel all transfers, all downloads, or all uploads.
Prioritising transfers: When you want to re-prioritise your transfers, go to a category and simply drag and drop them to re-order. You can also do this in the context menu.
Searching: We’ve added a search feature. Adding transfers: If you want to upload a file to MEGA, you can just drop a file or a folder into the transfer manager to start the transfer.
