Opera Mail is an email client application that works standalone with any POP3 or IMAP mail account, including Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail and others. The straightforward and an easy to use interface offers displays that show all your email. Opera Mail even didsplays from multiple accounts, in a single Inbox view and offers rules to organize your mail with custom labels. They show different mail view layouts to choose from, Inbox filtering and fast mail searches.
A self-learning spam filter is also provided to learn from email that you classify as spam and automatically filters similar messages in the future. Additional features are included to provision for web feeds and newsgroups and a built-in contact manager. The import feature allows you to switch to Opera Mail from a different email program and import your messages from Outlook Express, Netscape, Thunderbird, Eudora, as well as generic mailbox files. Opera Mail lacks some of the advanced features found in other email clients but works well for basic email needs.
